Bomb scare for Shakira in TurkeyISTANBUL – Latin pop diva Shakira, in Turkey to film a German television show, was among the passengers of a Turkish Airlines plane which was evacuated following a hoax bomb alert, the press reported on Sunday.
The incident occurred on Saturday at Istanbul's Ataturk airport, from where the plane carrying Shakira, her boyfriend Antonio de la Rua, son of former Argentine president Fernando de la Rua, and some 140 other passengers was set to fly to the popular resort of Antalya, on Turkey's Mediterranean coast.
The Colombian-born superstar was seen leaving the aircraft in a state of panic, the popular daily Vatan reported.
The plane took off after a two-hour delay as the security forces found no dangerous item on board, the reports said. –– AFP

Neurotic Shakira Will Shock FansColumbian-born SHAKIRA risks alienating her fans with the release of a behind-the-scenes film that shows just how "neurotic" the singer can be.
The UNDERNEATH YOUR CLOTHES star has allowed a camera crew unlimited access to shoot backstage footage of her TOUR OF THE MONGOOSE.
And Shakira admits the movie shows her in a real light.
She says, "When my fans watch this documentary, they are going to see that I'm a neurotic, that I'm an obsessive-compulsive perfectionist, and I don't know if they are going to like that, but they for sure will understand me a little more.
"They'll get to know my causes in life, what I fight for, the things that inspire me, that move me. I just get the feeling that I'm going to get much closer to them than ever before."
The 27-year-old star has been using her time productively since the release of her highly successful album LAUNDRY SERVICE and world tour.
She has written 60 tunes for the as-yet-untitled follow-up disc and is in the process of choosing those tracks that will make the final cut.
Shakira says, "This album is so personal. It's very honest, and it's revealing so much of myself that it's also acting like a mirror. I guess that's an eternal process.
"You never end up really getting to know yourself, but art is definitely one useful tool to achieve that."

Shakira's Oedipus ComplexSHAKIRA has such a close relationship with her father, she worries fans will think she suffers an Oedipus complex about him.
The Colombian singer inherited her poetic nature from her Lebanese dad William and the pair recite Psalm 91 from the bible together before each of her performances - "for protection, to have the courage to kill the bull, to kill the monster... to please the monster as well".
She wrote her first song, aged eight, about her father's sunglasses - TUS GAFAS OSCURAS (YOUR DARK GLASSES) - and still lives close to both her parents in Miami, Florida.
And Shakira remains greatly thankful for the way her dad encouraged her to write and sing.
She says, "My dad taught me to appreciate the beauty of words, the aesthetics of a good poem, a good book, a good story.
"People are gonna think I have an Oedipus complex. I think every kid at some time in their life starts creating songs in their mind, they just don't get encouraged to do it in a serious way."

Shakira: We Are Not the BeckhamsColombian singer SHAKIRA refuses to allow herself and fiance ANTONIO DE LA RUA - the son of Argentina's former president FERNANDO DE LA RUA - to be referred to as the Latin BECKHAMS, despite their high profile relationship.
The LAUNDRY SERVICE star has been romancing the 26-year-old lawyer since 1998, and their partnership has been under close media scrutiny from the very start.
She says, "We have had enormous attention from the press.
"It was somehow controversial that the son of a president was dating a celebrity.
"Therefore he too would become a celebrity; as if it was too glamorous for a son of a president."
