Stars of Star Wars Interviews
Natalie Portman Natalie Portman Talks:
It's been a very, very, long ride.
Natalie Portman talks about her role as Senator Padme Amidala
It's really exciting getting so much to do as a young person, especially to be a leader as a young woman. We rarely see that in the real world or in film. To get a girl who is in charge and taking care of business and not needing to be saved by anyone is pretty exciting.
You started out acting really young as well. What's it been like for you?
Natalie Portman: It's been such a wonderful experience, I really, really love acting. I think it can be a really great experience for kids to be involved in, as long as they don't get too wrapped up in the false aspects of the film industry.   Full Interview
Hayden Christensen Hayden Christensen Talks: George Lucas actually told me what would happen.
Hayden Christensen talks about his role as Anakin Skywalker
It's thrilling. It's an amazing role and an amazing saga and an amazing transformation. It's a character that's started off as the embodiment of all that's good and pure in a person I and to evolve into what we know as Darth Vader is a lot to do and a lot of fun as an actor.
Why do you think they've chosen you to do this?
Hayden Christensen: No idea, I've no idea. I contemplated that for about a week after I got the part and I couldn't figure it out so I stopped thinking about it. I guess I look a little bit like the kid... I don't know.   Full Interview
Samuel L. Jackson Samuel L. Jackson Talks: Mace is the voice of reason.
Samuel L Jackson talks about his role in Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones
I seem to be in and out of the movie quite a bit. A lot of the decision making process passes through the Jedi Council so I had quite an opportunity to spend a lot more time with Yoda.
Do you still get a thrill from being able to hold a lightsabre?
Samuel L. Jackson: Definitely. It's all about the law and coming into something that has its own history already. It's a dream come true for me to be in the film - the first time I saw a lightsabre switched on I wanted to pick one up.   Full Interview
